Silent Movie

Final resolution for my silent movie 10 second animation brief. I am pleased with my final outcome as all the software used was new to me. However I wish I had spent more time developing how i could of interatced all three words together, instead of having three separate compositions and then nesting them within one another.

Kinetic Typography

Snippet form American Psycho, a very powerful film. From this sence Norman Bates is unconfrotable, sweating and disgusted as one of his colleagues produced a far better clean crisp business card.

Scene form the Big Lobowski, much more complex and overlapped text compared to the other videos I have looked at. This may of been done to represent the setting, in a hussly busy area, there is alot of background noise and commotion.

The start...

Our new brief has asked us to investigate into, what actually is design for digital media?
On first glance I simply thought this would mean designs for mobile phones and electronic gadgets like that, Im not sure why I thought this but i did - I was clearly very mistaken! I will start to explore a broad range of contemporary designs in practice. My resrach will be informed and aim to establish a sound understanding of this topic - looking at styles and effects which I like/ what would i would be capable of producing in this short space of time.
Above are examples of kinetic typography made by designers to represent selected sences from Fight Club. Each word is represented to emphasis how it has been said, what the key words are how they want its audiences to interpret them. These short pieces are very simple, yet outstandingly effectively using layout and its changing position and camera angles.
